Hi there,
I'm trying to set a warning so that when a product warranty is 90 days or less away the cell is highlighted. I'd ideally like this then to go through warning states on conditional formating i.e. 90-120 days amber, red if under 90 etc. The information is currently entered as the day the warranty started but could include the expiry date instead. I have the today's date formula set in the spreadsheet already and I've tried a few ways to get this to work but I can't seem to get this without having two columns of information? Is it possible to do this within the one cell? Thanks Thanks |

If you warranty start date is in A1, try conditional formatting First condition, formula is =A1TODAY()-90, format cell to red Second condition, formula is =A1TODAY()-120, format cell to orange Is this what you are looking for? oldchippy :) -- oldchippy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ oldchippy's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=19907 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=569350 |
