Default Are you an Excel pre release 12 user??

If yes, do you know how to activate the sound for data entry where it speaks
the words or numbers being typed?

Hi Gord

You can add this to the QAT

1) Office Button Excel Options2) Customization3) Choose "Commands Not in the Ribbon"4) Select the command (Speak .........)5)
Add6) OK

Do you mean Windows Narrator?
You can find that at StartProgramsAccessoriesAccessibilityNarrator.

to add the sound as well as other much used headings.
