ACT! should enable your email client as part of it's contact management
regimen. Check to see what email client can be configured and send the email via the ACT! mail API. This should also enter a record in the contact in ACT! that the event or activity occurred. Nice from a history perspective. This would eliminate the export. But, per the prior comment, you can export from ACT! in a variety of compatible formats for Excel.
