copy paste between two instances does not work
Dear Excel experts,
Sometimes when I copy cells from one Excel to the next the formulas get's lost. I select some cells contain some formulas and press copy in on worksheet in one Excel session. I select past in another worksheet in another Excel session. Only values are copied over but the formulas are lost! Regards Lars Schouw |

Don't open the workbooks in separate instances of excel--open each workbook in a
single instance of excel. Open the first anyway you want, then use File|open to open the second. wrote: Dear Excel experts, Sometimes when I copy cells from one Excel to the next the formulas get's lost. Is there any hope that this bug will be fixed in Excel 2007?

Why is that a problem?
Lars Dave Peterson wrote: I don't think it's a bug. One instance of excel doesn't know about the second instance--so you're really going through the windows clipboard--instead of excel's. wrote: Is there any hope that this bug will be fixed in Excel 2007? If you want to see the other paste special menu, then it's a problem.
If you like to see the values, then it's not a problem. wrote: Why is that a problem? Lars Dave Peterson wrote: I don't think it's a bug.
