into "Find What" and click "Replace All".

DataText to ColumnsDelimited by commaNext select the "state" column and "do
not import".

Or if you want to preserve the data in the original column, in an adjacent
column enter

=LEFT(A2,IF(ISERROR(FIND(",",A2,1)),LEN(A2),FIND(" ,",A2,1)-1))
