Default Excel Sorting

Just wanted to find out if there was a way to sort a range of data in Excel
by the highlighted background.

Problem: I have a range of data... some of the data the rows are
highlighted. I need to be able to do a sort or a filter so that Excel will
only show me the highlighted cells.
