Allow formatting of individual gridlines - what's the problem with that.

You'll have to wait until at least Excel 2010 (it's not in 2007), or use a
workaround like this:

http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/...Gridlines.html

To get different colors, you need one series per distinct format of
gridlines.
