I have an excel spreadsheet that has the name of a class, the date it was
held, and the number of students in that class. I am trying to make a chart and it displays the date of the class and the number of students okay but then the name of the classes are all messed up. What can I do to make all the data display in a coherent manner? |

A few ideas come to mind. Create a bubble chart. Put the name on the
x axis, the date on the y axis and the number of students would be the bubble size. Of course, in a bubble chart the x-axis cannot contain text. So, you will get 1, 2, etc. on the x-axis. Then, double-click the plotted series and from the Data Labels tab add the x-values as data labels. Format as desired. Another alternative would be to create a line chart with the dates on the x-axis and the number of students on the y-axis. Then, use the class names as data labels. Use either XY Chartlabeler from www.appspro.com or Chart Tools from www.j-walk.com. -- Regards, Tushar Mehta www.tushar-mehta.com Excel, PowerPoint, and VBA add-ins, tutorials Custom MS Office productivity solutions In article , says...
