Default Chart Wizard - Excel shuts down with no error message

I have a certain spreadsheet that when i open and then click the Chart
Wizard button Excel will close down.
The file was created with Excel 2000 and crashes on 2000 and 2003
versions of Excel.
The weird thing is , the spreadsheet has AutoFiltered data, and if I
untick this option under Data, Filter, and untick AutoFilter
the Chart Wizard then works.

Any ideas?
There's nothing special about the spreadsheet, just numbers and text,
some cell formatting and some cells are pick lists.

TIA

Doug
