I have an excel chart which is derived from a pivot table. The pivot table
is updated on a weekly basis and I then print the chart. The values in the Y-axis stay constant as well as the serie names. The problem I'm having is that even if I change the legend color to be to my liking, when-ever I update the pivot table the chart automatically re-applies it's own color codes to the legend. Is there any way around this? |

a common way to handle this issue is to set up a sheet to print your graph
from and copy the data in the pivot table and paste onto the new sheet. Then generate your custom chart. When the pivot table is updated. copy the pivot table and paste over the data in the grph prep sheet. In other words, people have hade this issue for a long time. A macro can be used to do the copy paste or a macro could be used to reformat the pivot table chart "Johan" wrote: I have an excel chart which is derived from a pivot table.
