I have a long title on my y-axis of a scatter plot (ex. Concentration (mg/L))
and excel cuts the title off after it is only partially displayed (ex.
Concentr). In other versions of excel I could resize the axis label to
contain all the text but it will not let me and the X-axis doesn't do the
same thing it resizes itself correctly. The only alternative is to make the
font so small that it is illegable. Anyone have an idea on how to fix this.
I''m using MS Office 2000, if that is somehting you need to know.

This truncation of axis titles is a frustrating issue. It can be worked
around sometimes by upgrading video drivers and so forth, and by trying
different zoom settings, font sizes, etc. In general, the title is
correct in print preview and when printed, if it's any consolation. I've
rarely been affected, but some people cannot escape it whatever they try.

You could also replace the Y axis title with a textbox, which allows you
to resize it to fit the text. In no version of Excel is it possible to
resize the axis titles, chart titles, or data labels, even though they
appear to be regular text boxes.
