Default Calculating the area under a graph

I am analysing a number of large graphs within Microsoft Excel 2000. It is
important that I calculate the area under these graphs. Can anyone tell me
how this can be done? Thank you in advance.

There are two ways:
a) using the trapezoid or Simpson's rule - see
www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme/ExcelTips
and
b) use LINEST to find the line of best fit; do a manual integration of the
function and compute the definite integral
best wishes
