A chart title is not a rich text box. In fact, it's hardly a text box at
all, because you can't change its height and width. You can't insert objects into the text. What you can do is type the appropriate character in the normal font, then select the character and change its font to Symbol or Wingdings or whichever font has the character you need. This works with chart titles, axis titles, data labels, and textboxes in the chart, but unfortunately not with legend entries or axis tick labels. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Peltier Technical Services Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com/ _______ k f h wrote: Hi All, I'm trying to insert a symbol into my charts title. Hi a similar solution - insert the title charaters and symbols into a worksheet cell, amd link the chart's title to it eg =Sheet1!$a$1 -- Nicky ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nicky's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...nfo&userid=312 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=383528 |

Which works as long as all characters are in the same font.

Character Map
In Windows Vista Home Premium, I get a character in the character map for the
division symbol that's inaccurate: ΓΆ instead of the division symbol. Would anyone have a workaround? -- Thank you, Bob F "ewkehl" wrote: "k f h" wrote: Hi All, I'm trying to insert a symbol into my charts title. When I click insert the symbol tab it is greyed out.
