Default Chart Area

This is really silly, but why are my charts surrounded by a border of dots,
split only by the words 'chart area'. I just cannot clear it. Never have
before.

Default Chart Area

I have just realised that this new chart was produced using 2007, whereas
previous ones weren't.

Is there a way of hiding the dotted border please?
