Default Stacked Line Chart - Excel 2007 - Controlling the separation

When I make a stacked line chart with two series, each point in the 2nd
series appears to have a value that's twice of its' actual value.
I attribute this to the separation of the two series.

Is there any way to control this?

thanks,
Harry
