Default CRS is getting me

Excel V2007

This is the simplest chart. I cannot believe I spent 45 minutes on this and
still don't have it the way I want.

Plotting an xy line graph a few months of selected utility bills.

Three columns of data, date, amount and Utility

Y axis is amount, X axis is date and data point label is Utility name.

Heres what the data looks like.

Date Amount Utility
24-Mar-09 $98.04 Gas
30-Mar-09 $80.00 Electric
10-Apr-09 $167.31 Electric
15-Apr-09 $19.04 Gas
30-Apr-09 $45.76 DSL/Phone
11-May-09 $10.00 Water
12-May-09 $93.22 Electric
14-May-09 $41.37 Trash
15-May-09 $17.21 Gas
28-May-09 $45.91 DSL/Phone
10-Jun-09 $85.44 Electric
15-Jun-09 $19.01 Gas
26-Jun-09 $43.76 DSL/Phone
30-Jun-09 $76.85 Water
14-Jul-09 $17.19 Gas
15-Jul-09 $99.18 Electric
16-Jul-09 $41.94 Trash
