Default Another prob with combination chart

You can select any series in the chart, then use the up and down arrow keys
to cycle the selection through the other series. You can see from the Name
Box or from the Chart Element Selector dropdown on the Chart toolbar, which
series is selected.

Thank you Luke for responding. I think I figured that portion out. But
what
do you do when you add the second line and the first line disappears. It
is
still in the legend but I do not have the line on the graph. The source
data
is still there, but no line. If I remove the second line the first line
appears again. How do I find the first line?

I'll try to answer both your posts.

You're going to need to create a custom chart. First, create a chart with
all the series (past data, goal, etc) and make it the type of chart most
of
your data will be (column).
Now, select only the goal series, then from menu bar go to chart-Chart
type.
Change it to line. Repeat this process for any other series you want to
change, and pick appropriate type.

Next, right click on the series you want to move to secondary axis,
select
format series, then go to axis. Select secondary axis. Repeat as needed.

You should now have your previous years data in columns, and you goal
series
and other series as a line!

I am using Excel 2003
I have a "custom line - column plotted on 2 axis. curently I have one
vertical column and one line. But I want to add a second line to the
graph.
When I do this I loose the first line and only the 2nd line appears.
Can't I
have 2 lines from the 2nd axis on a graph with 1 column from the 1st
axis?
What am I doing wrong? I would appreciate any help someone can give
me.
