Default Can excel graphs be set to choose same colour i.e hols = yellow

I have a weekly task of tracking resource across a large department,
therefore numberous graphs. Is there any way to set up excel to select the
same colour for the same task i.e. Holidays always show as Yellow on each
graph. At the moment I am manually going through each graph and changing the
colour of all tasks for each individual!!

Currently using Excel 2003.

Any help will be greatly received.

Hi,

See Jon's blog on a VBA solution to this problem.

You can use VBA procedures to format named series in the same color. I show
how in this blog post:

Hi,

If each item (holidays, what ever) have the same series number then you can
change all of them with one command in one workbook - Choose Tools, Option,
Color, and note the Chart fills colors, modify the one you don't like by
clicking it and choosing Modify, picking the new color and saying OK This
will change this color for the entire workbook.
