Default data updates by clicking and dragging bar graph

Older versions of excel allowed us to click on a bar and drag it. The data
table automatically updated. Is there a trick to get a similar capability in
2007.

I wrote a macro that changed the data by clicking on the bar then clicking
on directional buttons. Doing this in front of an audience is much riskier
than clicking and dragging.

The trick is not to use 2007, because they've removed that capability.
