Microsoft needs to develop a feature that will allow users to select a data
range for a second x-y plot using a selection box (the click and drag the
corner to make a box around something type of thing) of a select section of
an existing x-y plot. This would allow easy plotting of a detailed area of a
much larger data set.

I've programmed this feature. I have no web site link to it; it was a hard
earned algorithm that I have yet to decide whether to post. It makes use of
chart events
