Hi,
I wish to edit the color within the plot area from point A but they only allow me to select the whole area and change. Below is an example. I wish to color the area R in red. How to do about it? I do have bubbles around the plot area but don't need to make any change to them. I just want some good advice on the plot area. Will appreciate some help here. Y axis 5 Red (Area R) 4 ____________________ 3 Yellow (Area Y) 2 ____________________ 1 _______Green (Area G)_ A B C D X axis Thanks! |

Hi,
You would normally create the banding effect using a combination chart. Unfortunately you can not create combinations including a bubble chart. You could create the bands using autoshapes and the using MS Paint create a image that is used as the fill pattern for the plot area. You would need to make the shapes the same size as the plotarea they will cover. Of course the image will be static. You could also try using 2 charts. The top bubble chart would have no chart area fill making it transparent. Underneath that chart would be another containing a column chart to provide the banding. Aligning the 2 charts might be tricky though. Here is Jon's page on creating banding effects using combination charts http://peltiertech.com/Excel/ChartsH...orizBands.html Cheers Andy -- Andy Pope, Microsoft MVP - Excel http://www.andypope.info "Scent" wrote in message ...
