Default how do I display x-axis range negative to positive?

Trying to create a simple (!) bar chart that has a range of values on the
x-axis from -5 to +5 - NB: this is how the range needs to be displayed, with
the '-' and '+' shown! Any help would be much appreciated!! Thank you
