how do I display x-axis range negative to positive?
Trying to create a simple (!) bar chart that has a range of values on the
x-axis from -5 to +5 - NB: this is how the range needs to be displayed, with the '-' and '+' shown! Any help would be much appreciated!! Thank you |

Is it a horizontal bar chart or a vertical column chart?
Are you talking about the category (X) axis (the horizontal axis on a vertical column chart or the vertical axis on a horizontal bar chart)? Or do you perhaps mean the horizontal value (Y) axis of a horizontal bar chart? I suspect it's a horizontal Y value axis on a horizontal bar chart. If you're using Excel 2003 or earlier, all you need to do is double click the axis, and enter the minimum and maximum axis scale parameters on the Scale tab of the dialog, and to get the + for positive numbers, click on the Number tab, select Custom in the list, and enter +0;-0;0;@ - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "exceldimwit" wrote in message ...
