Default Extra data plotted on chart

I am charting (using Office EXCEL 2003) data from Jan05 to Sept07 on my
x-axis. The resulting chart adds additional data to oct, nov and dec 2007. I
have no idea where it comes from because my charting data ends at Sept 07.
I did a copy/paste special from a pivot chart to see if that fixes it but it
doesn't.
Any ideas welcome!

Click on the extra series in the chart. The series formula should tell you
where it got the data.

Jon:
The series info (x-axis range) is correct so I don't know what's happening.
To fix the problem, I manually created a new sheet and set up the month-year
row first and then did a copy-paste of the data under it. Sort of cumbersome
but I needed to get it done.
Somehow, I suspect that the original data I used came from a pivot chart and
that may have had some effect.
