I'm sure that this is a straight forward problem to solve but this has me
pulling my hair out!!! I have a combination chart plotting multiple series against time on the x-axis (using Excel 2003). Most of the series are x-y scatter but I also have one column and one area chart series. The x-y scatter series x values are at hourly intervals over a 2yr period. The column and area categories correspond to daily intervals over exactly the same 2yr period. The problem: the column and area series only plot part-way along the x-axis. The most recent data points plot about 1/5th of the length of the x-axis short of the intercept with the secondary y-axis, rather than adjacent to the 2ndary y. I understand this must be somethign to do with these being x-axis category series but I can't see why the categories aren't equally distributed between the min and max values on the x-axis. Why would they only be distributed over part of the range of the x-axis? Hope this makes sense and hopefully someone out there has the answer to this. Thanks |
