Dynamic and Scrolling charts
Hi all,
Is there a way to create a chart that is both dynamic in range and able to scroll? So far I've seen two good examples on how to do this individually, but not as a combined chart. Also, I'm wondering if this method can be done on a chart that is its own worksheet instead of a chart inserted into a worksheet. Thanks for any suggestions! Dynamic and Scrolling charts
Hi,
Yes it's possible and it's all to do with controlling both the starting offset and length parameters of the OFFSET formula. With the dynamic chart the length parameter increases to display more data as it is added. With the scrolling chart the starting offset is changed. In the scrolling example there is already a parameter to change the number of points displayed. And Jon has a last 12 months example. http://www.peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/Dynamics.html You should be able to change the location of the chart to it's own sheet without issue. Note that ActiveX controls are not supported on chart sheets. Cheers Andy Patrick wrote: Hi all, Is there a way to create a chart that is both dynamic in range and able to scroll?
