Try this: http://processtrends.com/pg_charts_t...ith_events.htm The example given is a scatter chart, but you can combine a scatter series with a bar series with a bit of adjustment for the scales. -- Del Cotter NB Personal replies to this post will send email to , which goes to a spam folder-- please send your email to del3 instead. |

You can add data labels to a series of points, or a data label to a single
point. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Randy" wrote in message ... Thanks for the response. A better description might change the answer. I
have vertical bars with labels at the top. That I need to keep the way it is. What I'm hoping to do is to add text (vertically) so that it appears within the bar itself. You need two sets of labels. Add a line chart series with the original
column chart data, and apply labels to this series (position above the points) and hide the series (no lines, no markers). Then use labels in the center of the columns, and format appropriately. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Randy" wrote in message ...
