Default auto expand line chart

I would like to place a line graph into a spread sheet which needs to
continue to grow as we move through years 2007 & 2008 but dont want the graph
to show a zero value for future dates and only add them as the months move
forward..

example:

Year Value
2007/1 1234
2007/2 3455
2007/3 2222
etc
2008/1 0
2008/2 0
2008/3 0
etc

hope this makes sense and you understand what I mean.

Please help.

Regards

Mark
