Excel 2007 seems to have corrected some probs with previous versions e.g.,
you can now use a base other than 10 on a value axis. Does anyone know what problems with logs and axes still remain? I expect to work with logarithmic axes in the future and it would be helpful to know if there are any undoable things with log scales, or has excel 2007 fixed them all. If not, can anyone suggest any products that may fix any residual problems. Thanks a lot. |

well, if one does a simple noticeboard search of log in excel charts one sees
a lot of people had queries/issues with excel 2003 and they relied on 'patch-type' solutions e.g., changing their data to suit the abilities of excel charting. One obvious one was the complicated patches people had to do to get around the fact that only bases of 10 were allowed in excel 2003. I think that that particular problem has been fixed but have any other obvious problems remained unfixed? "Tushar Mehta" wrote: In article , says... So, it would all depend on what you considered a problem with "logs and axes?" |

I think Tushar was asking you to describe problems which you consider
obvious. I have encountered a great number of charting problems in Excel 2007 which are painfully obvious to me, but which most users wouldn't ever notice. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "jonny" wrote in message ... well, if one does a simple noticeboard search of log in excel charts one sees a lot of people had queries/issues with excel 2003 and they relied on 'patch-type' solutions e.g., changing their data to suit the abilities of excel charting.
