Default How can I do this??

I am using office 2000. I am trying to make a line column graph. I only
have five points of data for now. I would like to have the first four data
poins in a verticle line and the fifth to be the data point for the column.
I will be getting more data points every week and I would like to be able to
continue the same sort of setup for the year.
plaese help. thank you

Hi Chris,

Make the series you want in a vertical line and XY Scatter, make the other a
column. Without sample data its hard to give more detail.

For example if the line numbers are in the range A2:A5 and the Column number
in C2. Suppose you want the X-axis position of the bar to be 1 and the line
position to be 2. Then create a column, say B2:B5 containing the numbers
2,2,2,2.

Highlight A2:B5 and click the chart wizard, choose XY scatter, click Next.
Activate the Series tab, and select the X Values reference and then highlight
B2:B5. Highlight the Y Values references and the highlight the range A2:A5.
Press Finish.

Hightlight C5 and drag it to the chart and drop it.

If the Charting toolbar is not open turn it on. From the Chart Objects
dropdown pick Series 2. Then choose Chart, Chart Type, Column, OK.
