Default Data Tables - Displaying

I would like to be able to produce a simple bar chart which is illustrating
48 sets of data (half hourly useage over a 24 hour period). I want to shrink
this chart to about half a page size and display a data table alongside it
showing the 48 sets of data displayed in 2 columns (1st 24 periods and 2nd 24
periods).

Is this possible? It sounds simple enough but I cannot figure this out.

Have you considered having the chart embedded on a worksheet rather than in
a chartsheet?

Bernard, I have had created an embedded chart and this certainly helps when
cutting and pasting it into a word document and resizing. However, what I
really need to know is how to produce a data table which I can cut and paste
from another package or insert directly into Word which sits alongside the
chart.

Visually, on the page, this would then look like a chart about 2" by 3" with
a data table to the right of same size. I am using this data in a report and
trying to reproduce something which looks good visually, based on something
we cut and paste from an image, but displaying our own data

Thanks for your initial reply. Any further help would be greatly appreicated.

Use View|Toolbars to make Daring tools available.
Make a large rectangle
Click your chart, hold down SHIFT; use Edit and select Copy Picture (only
appears when Shift is held down before hitting Edit on menu). Move to
rectangle and use Paste
Copy you picture of data into the same rectangle.
Here is the trick: after you have the chart picture and the data table the
right size and position; hold CTRL and click picture of chart, picture of
data and rectangle; now right click and use Group to make a single item of
all three
Now copy and paste to PowerPoint or Word
best wishes
