Hi,
Sounds like the sub chart type is Stacked Line chart rather than a simple Line chart. Right click chart and pick Chart Type. Select correct sub chart type. Cheers Andy Mike W. wrote: Hey y'all, I'm not sure that I can explain this, but here goes. I am using Excel 2000 on Win XP. I have two similar sheets with the data set up the same way on each sheet. I have two line charts with 0 to 100 by 10 on the left and Jan-Dec on the bottom. There is data on the sheets for 18 categories, one cell per month, per category. One chart is perfect. Each category gets a line and the data is where I expected it to be. On the other chart, the data points in each column are added together. Ex. The first point in Jan. is 32, it is where it is supposed to be on the chart. The next point is 11 and instead of sitting just above the '10' line, it sits at 43. The next point is 16, it sits at 59. Soon all of my points are off the chart. I cannot find anything different between the two charts, so I don't know why they are being added together. Any ideas? TIA, Mike W. |
