Default How do I shade only 1/2 of a cell?

I have created a line chart. The line intersects some cells. I want to
shade everything to the right of the line -- how do I shade the intersected
cells without shading the entire cell?

The chart and the worksheet cells are totally different objects.
You want to colour part of the plot area to the right of the line - nothing
to do with cells
Look at Area chart, then return with more questions
best wishes
