Default Count Down in Cell

If you want to cause a recalculate every second or so - but then excel
basically becomes a clock.

Look at Chip Pearson's page on Application.Ontime

http://www.cpearson.com/excel/ontime.htm

That looks pretty good, but is there anyway for the
seconds to continue to countdown while one is viewing the
page?

Put the future date/time in cell A1
in Cell B1 put in

=TEXT( A1-NOW(),"[hh]:mm:ss")

This will give you the difference in hours, minutes and

seconds. It will
adjust each time there is a calculation.

=TEXT( A1-NOW(),"[mm]:ss")

This gives minutes and seconds.

Is there anyway to have a cell with a running countdown
from one date to another. For example, the number of
seconds left or the number of minutes and seconds from
today's date and just say a year from now.

Thanks in advance,

Kacy
