What kind of chart is it? Do you color each hour, or do you need finer
control of the colors?
If your main data is a Line chart, and you need the hours colored, you
could use dummy series, one for each color, using data like this:
yellow blue red
5:00 1
6:00 1
7:00 1
8:00 1
9:00 1
10:00 1
11:00 1
12:00 1
13:00 1
Make these series into a 100% Stacked Column chart, format the fill
colors appropriately, and use no border. Add the rest of the data to
the chart, and series by series change the chart type to Line.
Not much different from these examples:

Hi,
I have a chart with the times from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM in the category Axis.
I would like to have the ability to be able to color the chart in 3
sections.
for example
Opening from 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM = color yellow
Mid from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM = blue
and so on.
I need a macro cause this time ranges will be manipulated by the user.
Thanks,
