Default Footer (Update Date)

-----Original Message-----
Hello from Steved
I put in 18-Aug-03 in MsgBox
When I run the Macro I get 2123, How or can this be
corrected to show what is in the MsgBox. As I have Other
information in the same footer is it possible just to
update the first row and leave rows 2 to 4 as is. Hence

18-
Aug-03 is shown on row 1.

Sub UpdateFooter()
Dim UpdateFooter As String
UpdateFooter = InputBox("Enter New Date:")
MsgBox "The New Date is " & UpdateFooter '
Sheets("Pt Chevalier-St Heliers Service").Select
With ActiveSheet.PageSetup
UpdateFooter = ActiveCell.Text
.RightFooter = UpdateFooter
End With
End Sub

Thankyou

Hi Steved,

just a thought, you can save yourself from possible
ambiguous referencing by avoiding naming macros and
variables with the same name.

Examine line 7 and you will notice that you have replaced
the date assigned to the variable 'UpdateFooter' ...

UpdateFooter = ActiveCell.Text

This may explain the problem...

Luck
