Default 3 problems giving me grief. Any help appreciated.

Hi,

Sounds as if you would benefit from a code cleaning job.

Download Rob Bovey's code cleaner from
www.bmsltd.co.uk/mvp.

1.Intermittent - after deleting a line(s) of vba code

from
a module the deleted code still runs!!! Seems impossible
but this has happened several times. My fix has been to
copy the code, delete the module, create a new module and
copy the code into it. What could cause this problem?

2.ControlSource for textbox controls. The value of the
textbox is written back to the ControlSource cell even if
the value of the textbox is not changed. A real pain when
the ControlSource cell contains a formula! Now I can
program round this, but surely this is a little bug as vb
help says that the ControlSource cell is only changed IF
you change the value of the textbox. This was certainly
the case in previous versions of Excel vba.

3.My major problem - I am writing a fairly large
application, in which several pieces of data are written
to a worksheet from a userform, where some fairly complex
functions validate the data, after which it may be
displayed via a userform or written to another worksheet.
The problem - Everthing appears and works fine, I then

get
a request to add a report or a couple of calculations
somewhere in the workbook, often nothing to do with the
data being manipulated by vba/userforms and the next time
a routine runs that displays a userform the form displays
completely white (You cannot see the other controls on

the
form) and Excel/vba hangs, this happens regardless of

what
form is being displayed. If the formula added to the

sheet
are removed the application then reverts back to working
fine. What is causing this, I am coming to the end of my
tether with this problem? I thought I had worked a way
round by manipulating application calculation with vba,
but as soon as calculation returns to automatic at the

end
of a given routine, Excel hangs again!

I have been writing Excel/vba applications for many years
and have not experienced these problems until moving to
Excel 2000.

I am running Excel 2000 with office service pack 3
installed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jamie
