to
Function Calc(strAddress As range) As Long

or change

ActiveCell.Formula = "=Calc('" & str & "')"
to
ActiveCell.Formula = "=Calc(" & Chr(34) & str & Chr(34) & ")"

probably the first suggestion is what you want.
