conditional formatting for 2 colums
A1<B1 means A1 not equal to B1
A1< B1 means A1 is less than B1
A1B1 means A1 is greater than B1
I guess you want a couple of formulas for less or greater than.
CF formula of =$A1$B1 format to green
CF formula of =$A1<$B1 format to red
Use format painter to copy formatting down.
What do you want if they are equal?

Yes, that is problem (MS excel 10). I wont to compare numbers in two colums
(A1<B1?) and use icons (green if, red if<,.)

I would suggest more details about the data you are comparing will get
you a better chance at help.
Cell for cell down the columns? A1 = B1?
A1<B1?
A1 found anywhere in column B?
Numbers? Text?
