XL2007 - Pivot Table Limitations
I am converting XL2000 Pivot Tables documentation to XL2007 Pivot Tables and
am trying to compare the limitations between the two versions. The on-line
help message is a bit confusing as it does not compare the two versions.
Could someone please confirm or correct the following determination? Also
some of the component names have changed. I wiould like to ensure I am
matching them up correctly between the two versions:
XL2000 XL2007
Total # Pivot Tables = limited by RAM Total # Pivot Tables = limited by
RAM
Page Fields (P.F.) = 256 Report Filters (R.F.) = 256
# of Items in 1 P.F. = 8,000 # of Items in 1 R.F. = 1, 048,
576
Total # P.F. Items = limited by RAM Total # R.F. Items = ?????
# of Row Fields = limited by RAM # of Row Fields = limited by RAM
# of Column Fields = limited by RAM # of Column Fields = limited by RAM
# of Items in 1 Row Fld = 8,000 # of Items in 1 Row Fld = 1, 048,
576
# of Items in 1 Clm Fld = 8,000 # of Items in 1 Clm Fld = 1, 048,
576
Total # Row Items = 2.1 billion Total # Row Items = ?????
Total # Clm Items = 32,768 Total # Clm Items = ?????
Total # Data Fields = 256 Total # Value Fields = 256
Total # Data Items = ????? Total # Value Items = ?????
Any help in determining the maximum numbers for Report Filter Items, and
Row, Column and Value Field Items would be most appreciated.
Thank you.
