select A1, then conditional format -
Condition 1: formula is (Not value is ) =(B1="yes")
Format what you want.

Hi,
How can I change the colour of a cell and a seperate query an entire
row based on the value in a call. For example cell A1 has a number 200
in it. Cell B1 is blank. If "yes" is entered in to cell B1, I want cell
A1 to change to be in bold and a grey box. Ihave tried conditional
formatting but doesnt seem to work.
Thanks
