Default How do I prevent a text box from printing in XL2007?

Is the text box 'grouped' to the chart?
If so, it is treated as part of the chart
best wishes

Bernard,

Thank you for your reply. That is certainly true when I place a text box
on
a worksheet but when it is on a chart the "Print Object" option is not
available; not greyed out, just not there.

Right click the txt box; select fro popup menu "Format Shape"
In left hand panel; select "Properties"
In lower half of dialog, uncheck "Print Object"

In XL2003 I could put a text box on a chart and mark it to NOT print
with
the
chart. Having upgraded to XL2007 I can't find how to do that and
previous
(2003) spreadsheets that had non-printable text boxes now print those
boxes
in XL2007.

Can anyone help, please?
