Default How can I pull Word data into Excel?

I need to insert data from a table in a Word document into an excel
spreadsheet. The data in Word will be updated and I need those new numbers
to update either when the Word doc is saved or when the excel spreadsheet is
opened. Any ideas? I'm obviously not using the right words for help to know
what I want.
