My range now refers to

=Prices!$A$1:INDEX(Prices!$A$1:$Z$10000,MATCH("*", Prices!$A$1:$A$10000,-1),MATCH("*",Prices!$A$1:$Z$1,-1))

and works perfectly.

However, I'm still getting the links cannot be updated message.
