You could try a Watch Window.

Let us say you want to watch Sheet1 cell E 9.

Formulas / Formula Auditing group / Watch Window / Add Watch / click in
Sheet1 cell E 9 / Add.

Now whenever cell E 9 changes you can see it on the screen in front of you.
