INDIRECT does not work with closed workbooks. Check out XL Help on
this.

putting the path name in any particular cell within the workbook, so that
when that path needs to be changed it can just be edited in 1 cell? (And not
with 'edit links' because sometimes I still need some fields to reference the
original workbook)
