Not possible through formula, you can copy a cell from the source and select
all new entries and do editpaste special and select format

Does anyone know of a good way to ensure that font formatting in a source
cell will be carried over to a destination cell?
To see what I mean do this:
Type a word in Cell A1.
Format the font so the word is red.
Enter this formula in another cell: "=A1".
The word appears in that new cell, but in black. How do I make it bring
forward the source cell's original formatting as well as its value (without
having to individually select the new cell and change its formatting)?
Different formula? Macro?

I want to create two lists: the original list, with formatting applied to
cells (color-coding, for instance, but not value-based color-coding like
conditional formatting does); and the destination list, which contains
certain elements of the original list, but with preserved formatting.

I'm using Excel 2000, but that shouldn't matter, I think.

Thanks,
Ronnie
