Default surface chart

The best you can do is interpolate a value where you don't want a spike.
Area charts ignore any of the usual ways to skip blank cells or zeros.

I have created a surface chart where some of the plots on the x-axis are 0.
Unfortunately for these the surface shoots down to zero and makes the chart
looking unreadable. How can I make it so the zero points are not included on
the graph.

I have tryed setting all the points to an empty cell and I have tryed
entering "select data" the "hidden and empty cells" and selecting "gaps" in
the "show empty cells as" question. This will only allow me to select "gaps"
in a simple graph and once it changes back to a surface graph it still
includes the zero ponts.

I would be very grateful if you can explain how to combat my problem.#
