Default What is wrong with this simple formula?

You are missing some paranthesis.
I think this is what you need:

=SUM(H10:H38) - (SUM(H10:H15)+SUM(H18:H19)+H22+H26)

What is wrong with this formula:

=SUM(H10:H38) - (sumH10:H15+sumH18:H19+H22+H26)

I want to add all numbers H10 thru H38, and subtract from that the sum of
(H10:H15+H18:H19+H22+H26)

The result I'm getting is #NAME?

or, if I use =SUM(H10:H38) - (H10:H15+H18:H19+H22+H26), the result I get
is
#VALUE!
