The below code will check whether the date mentioned in cell A2 is less than
current date and if so it will convert the formula cell D2 to its value..Try
the below and feedback.

Select the sheet tab which you want to work with. Right click the sheet tab
and click on 'View Code'. This will launch VBE. Paste the below code to the
right blank portion. Get back to to workbook and try out.

Private Sub Worksheet_Activate()
If Date CDate(Range("A2")) And Range("A2") 0 Then _
Range("D2") = Range("D2").Value
End Sub
